Miranda Lambert marries Blake Shelton

Country singers Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton married last night in Texas.

The couple wed at the historic Don Strange Ranch surrounded by 500 guests, including Shelton's fellow The Voice judge Cee Lo Green and several country stars such as Dierks Bentley and the Bellamy Brothers.

The couple became have been in a relationship since 2006, and became engaged in May 2010 when Shelton asked for the blessing of Lambert's father.

Nashville Star runner-up Lambert told Us Magazine after the event that she was "Looking forward to a lifetime of laughter".

"I wanted to be married to Miranda the day I proposed," Shelton also added. "Finally it's official!"

Lambert recently confirmed that the couple were in no rush to start a family and were still focused on their careers.

'I'm ready to marry'

Miranda Lambert has admitted that she is anxious to marry fiancé Blake Shelton.

The singer - who accepted Shelton's proposal in May - revealed that while the time has gone quickly, she is ready to take the next step in their relationship, reports People.

"I'm looking forward to getting married," she said.

"You know, just doing it. We've been engaged six months already now and it's kind of flown by. [I'm looking forward to] just taking that next step and becoming a woman and moving on in life."


Ranaut signs up to first comic role

Kangana Ranaut is to make her next appearance in her first ever comedy project No Problem.
The actress has so far been seen taking on intense roles in thrillers such as Once Upon A Time In Mumbai and Fashion.

New Kerala reports that Ranaut's performance in the Anees Bazmee caper is said by sources to be one of her best.

Ranaut, 23, is reportedly competing with Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif for a leading role in the next Aamir Khan film, which will be directed by Reema Kagti.
