Akshay-Twinkle renewing their wedding vows

Akshay Kumar, Bobby Deol, Irrfan Khan and Sunil Shetty is trying to re-register their weddings

Come Friday, Akshay Kumar, Bobby Deol, Irrfan Khan and Sunil Shetty expect to get the necessary approval to re-register their marriages at the Bandra Family Court.

Getting a second registration done (while the original one is still valid) is still technically possible, the cast has requested the court to grant them special permission to go through the entire registration process again, their wives in tow. So Akshay-Twinkle, Bobby-Tanya, Irrfan-Sutapa and Sunil-Mana will make a beeline to the Family Court.

A source reveals, "It was Akshay who suggested they do something around renewing their wedding vows. His co-stars were more than willing to co-operate. Since all the four actors are married, they also wanted to spring a sweet surprise on their wives by doing so."

The men want to re-register their marriages at the Bandra Family Court, and have requested the registrar to allow them to do so. Since they have given a short notice period, the request is still pending.

But given the clout of the actors and the media attention it would bring the court, chances are they might be given approval.

Bazmee confirms, "When Akki came up with this idea, I was amazed. Thank You is all about infidelity, so to go and prove your fidelity seemed like a brilliant idea. We hope to get the permission to re-register these marriages."

Bollywood star Akshay Kumar, who was here Friday to promote his film "Tees Maar Khan", said the joint team of India and Pakistan would prove the best team in the world, Geo News reported Monday.

Kumar said he loved Lahore cuisines saying, ‘I happened to eat some Lahori specialties which I relished a great deal.’

Bollywood star Akshay Kumarsaid he expected the film to repeat the success of his previous hits and called Canada a heaven on earth.

"What you are going to see in 'Tees Maar Khan' is total entertainment. It is a Bollywood masala movie which will appeal to everyone,'' said the actor. The film is due for release next week.

In the film, directed by Farah Khan and jointly produced by his wife Twinkle Khanna, Akshay plays a con man named Tabrez Mirza Khan, with Katrina in the role of his girlfriend Anya.

"I play the role of an uneducated con man who plans to rob a train containing 10,000 kg of antiques. The script is so good that all characters come along with me and I am conning all of them. I rob the train with their help but no one among them knows that they are helping me,'' said Akshay Kumar, rating Katrina as his favourite actress.

The actor credited Farah Khan with doing an excellent job of directing the film. "She did a great job. Because of its excellent script, the film has created new 'muhawara' (idiom) in dialogue,'' he said, reciting a few lines used in the film.

Sonakshi-Akshay To Star In India's First 3D Film 'Joker'

It is finally official. After much speculation as to who will be the female lead of the upcoming 3D film Joker (Katrina Kaif and Sonakshi Sinha being the chief contenders), it is the Dabangg girl who has finally struck the chord with filmmaker Sirish Kunder.

Touted as the first 3D project in Bollywood, Joker has already generated a lot of buzz not only for its content but also for the lead pair of Akshay and Sonakshi. Director Sirish Kunder was searching for a fresh pair for his upcoming movie and the Akshay Kumar - Sonakshi Sinha jodi looked perfect, the director stressing on the fact that Sonakshi also completely fits into the character as the female lead opposite Akshay's character.

Though titled Joker, the Akshay Kumar - Sonakshi Sinha starrer does not tell the story of a joker in a circus. Neither is it the story of a superhero, as was perceived by many after they heard that the film was to be made in 3D. Akshay Kumar is not prepared to reveal details on the plot yet and we as audience will also have to wait till next year to catch a glimpse of Joker.

All that can be said now is that Sonakshi Sinha is gradually getting a good grasp in Bollywood. After having worked with Salman Khan in her debut film, Akshay Kumar as co-star in the second film itself is something that many actresses will die for. The Dabangg girl too accepts the fact, promising to improve with each film. Joker hits the screens on Christmas next year.
