Good Girls Wallpaper

The Wild West is one of the most popular themes in any dress up costume event. There is something so exciting and mysterious about the Wild West that makes everyone interested just to feel how is it to be a cowboy or girl for that matter. For this reason, cowboy fancy dress is one of the most sought-after costumes every time there is a dress up event coming on.
For a hot summer day, the cowboy theme is one of the best as you can make use of your backyard and create a typical old Wild West scenario complete with bandwagon, haystacks and stacked gold rush mine. Children love having a cowboy birthday party for they get to see real live cowboys galloping in a real live horse. When looking for cowboy costumes, it can be quite overwhelming choosing which one you like since there are all sorts of cowboy attires to look into.
For Men:
There are so many different kinds of cowboy costumes that men can look into. There are the famous Lone Ranger blue outfit that comes with a slim eye mask; the cowboy drifter costume made famous by Clint Eastwood which consists of a poncho that looked like a carpet and very untidy or the Gunfighter cowboy costume with the man having two guns whose outfit has some fringes and a bit of decorations. You can also choose from the Sheriff Costume, saloon gambler, drover cowboy with a long overcoat and the village people cowboy costume. One should not forget the "Woody" costume from Toy Story.
For Women:
Just as there are so many options for cowboy attire, same goes with cowgirls. What makes cowboy fancy dress cool is that you can assemble your outfit with things you already own. Denim pants or skirts, plaid shirts, vests and leather boots topped with a cowboy hat and bandanna can give you a typical cowboy look. Some women like to wear sexy cowgirl attire which consists primarily of short denim skirt or tight-fitting jeans and shirtless vest buttoned at the front.
The costume becomes more realistic once you add accessories like a lasso and a fake rifle. Cowboy leather boots are considered an "in" thing because a lot of people wear it regularly when going out. Add a spur in it and you are set to go riding down the country side.
The Wild West theme can be so much fun not only for adults but children alike.

Is Lady Gaga going straight?

IT was always going to be the ultimate gimmick for the eccentric Lady Gaga.
With every visceral taboo broken, from meat dress to climbing inside a womb on stage, the 25-year-old had nowhere to do. Except, of course, to the one area that no-one would ever expect, that of chic normality. And for the second day in LA, as she arrived at a recording studio, she did just that.

Gaga, real name Stefani Germanotta, donned an elegant long black dress that clung to her dainty frame in all the right places. With a beehive that evoked a blonde Audrey Heburn, the whole outfit was very Breakfast at Tiffany’s, down to the large diamanté earrings.

We’re so used to seeing Lady Gaga step out in something original and outrageous that we almost didn’t recognise her yesterday. But it seems like the new elegant New Yorker may be here to stay. –DM

Amitabh Bachchan to open museum in father's honour

Amitabh Bachchan is reportedly planning to open a museum dedicated to the poetry of his father Harivansh Rai Bachchan.

The actor explained that he felt the speed of modern communication had diminished the importance of classic literature and language.

"I do believe that the richness of our language is getting lost. We used to spend a lot of thought and lot of energy behind what was written and spoken. Perhaps it was a lot richer in earlier times," Bachchan told IANS.

"I don't want to blame today's generation. The time has changed, communication has become very rapid and very quick."

The 68-year-old, who is an advocate of social networking site Twitter and has his own blog, said that he wants to preserve the richness of the Hindi language.

"I've been thinking for a long time about opening a museum where I could store my father's well-known works that can be used for research work. I hope we are able to fulfill our plans to open a museum soon and preserve his iconic works."

Harivansh Rai Bachchan, who died in 2003, is credited with works such as Madhushala and Agneepath, and is regarded as one of the greatest Hindi poets of the 20th century.

Amitabh Bachchan has been actively promoting his father's works internationally.

"I didn't know that my father's work is popular in not only India but also abroad," he said. "On the occasion of the 100th birth anniversary of my father, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in New York had invited me for the recital of his works at the Lincoln Centre and there were at least 3,500-4,000 people who had come as an audience."

He is now planning to travel the world reciting his father's poems.

First Bollywood actor on the cover of a gay magazine

Imran Khan has become the first Bollywood actor to feature on the cover of a gay magazine in India.

The Delhi Belly star appears in the new issue of Bombay Dost.

Khan told the magazine: "It is flattering to be called a gay icon. I have always been a supporter of gay rights."

Devansh Patel, Bollywood columnist with the Harrow Observer, told Digital Spy: "Imran Khan has been a strong supporter for the gay community in India and across the globe.

"So him being on the cover should be a much-needed boost for the gay community, that they've got one of India's top actors to back them."

Khan appeared to kiss Ranbir Kapoor on the lips while filming an episode of Koffee with Karan earlier this year.

The two stars also featured in a parody of Tarun Mansukhani's gay-themed release Dostana while hosting the 2009 Filmfare Awards.

The American socialite, who flew 11 hours for a dress fitting last week, is working with Gunnar Peterson and Tracy Anderson in order to look her best for her August 20 nuptials to NBA player Kris Humphries.

"She's cut out fatty foods and sugar," the insider revealed.

Kardashian's wedding to Humphries will air as part of a four-hour special on E! in October.

Earlier this month, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star confirmed that Vera Wang will be designing her wedding gown.

Bollywood's 'Aarakshan' stokes caste controversy

A new Bollywood film tackling the thorny issue of caste quotas in Indian government jobs and education is released this week in the face of vocal protests from minorities.

Politicians and interest groups championing low-caste Hindus and other marginalised groups that the system is designed to help have come out in force against "Aarakshan" (Reservation), which hits screens today.

Two north Indian states -- Uttar Pradesh and Punjab -- have even banned the film, with the Uttar Pradesh government, led by low-caste politician Mayawati, saying it "could incite civil disorder and violence".

Critics, including the National Commission for Scheduled Castes, have said Prakash Jha's drama contains "objectionable" references to marginalised groups such as Dalits, the community formerly known as "untouchables".

The ban in Uttar Pradesh, announced late Wednesday, will last two months while Punjab will decide whether to show the film only after a state government panel has reviewed it, officials said on Thursday.

"Aarakshan", which sees screen legend Amitabh Bachchan play the principal of a successful school who has quotas imposed on him, was dogged by controversy even during shooting.

Dalit groups opposed the casting of Saif Ali Khan, who is of Muslim royal stock, as a low-caste Hindu. And the film's set in Bhopal, central India, was deemed illegal and bulldozed.

Publicity material was vandalised and more than a dozen activists arrested for protesting outside Jha's office in Mumbai last weekend, prompting police to give him and the lead actors extra security.

India's Censor Board, which passed the film uncut, has been asked to look at it again.

Jha, known for tackling social issues in his films, denies taking a position on reservation and Dalit rights.

"In India there are people who benefit from this policy and there are those who have missed an opportunity because of the policy. Reservation and the quota system is a hard-hitting reality," he said last week.

"It is almost an India versus India situation and by showing this in my movie, I am trying to bridge the gap."

Reservation refers to the policy of guaranteeing jobs for socially disadvantaged groups, officially referred to as "scheduled tribes, scheduled castes and other backward classes".

The affirmative action aims to provide equal opportunities for the poorest and most marginalised in India's complex and deeply entrenched social hierarchy.

India's 160 million Dalits, many of whom live in rural areas, still face prejudice despite anti-discrimination laws, while harsh retribution is often meted out for flouting caste and sub-caste lines.

The quota system itself is the subject of frequent challenges, with the number of places allocated to disadvantaged groups changing from state to state and sometimes exceeding the legal maximum of 50 percent.

Those who miss out on public sector jobs or education places as a result say the system fails to reward talent or ability.

Some sociologists have suggested that traditional caste notions have been eroded in any case due to India's economic boom, improving wealth and social mobility.

Professor Kamal Mitra Chenoy, a political scientist at Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi, said the phenomenon was more noticeable in fast-growing cities but the pace of change was slow.

"It's still a major issue," he said but admitted that given the chronic under-investment in state education there was "no alternative" to quotas apart from a concerted government drive to lift millions out of poverty.

Other Bollywood films have faced protests in recent years, most notably Deepa Mehta's "Fire" (1996), for its portrayal of lesbianism, and "Water" (2005), about the treatment of widows in Indian society.

Critics of actor Shah Rukh Khan's support for Pakistani cricketers threatened to disrupt showings of his film "My Name Is Khan" in 2010.

But the objections have mainly been against sex or nudity on moral grounds from conservative Hindu groups, who see themselves as champions of traditional Indian values.

For his part, Jha has accused politicians of playing communal politics in the quest for votes.

"I am just trying to show how it (reservation) has created two Indias," he said. (AFP)

Mother wants to save her daughter's career

Furious with the lack of funds, progress and initiative and determined to complete and release what she considers a remarkable work of cinema, Shilipa Shetty’s intrepid mother has taken over the production of her daughter’s Indo-Chinese production The Desire: A Journey Of A Woman. She has apparently edited the film down to 95 minutes and is readying the film for various international film festivals.

When contacted Sunanda Shetty admitted, “The websites claim Tracy Shiyun is the co-producer. Not true. She went to court and lost. I am the sole producer of this project.

We’ve made changes for the betterment of the movie. If I had to turn producer I wanted the film to be what I as a member of the audience would like to see. Yes, we’ve cut the length down. ”

If Shilpa Shetty’s mother Sunanda Shetty has turned producer Lord knows there was enough provocation to do. Apparently the ambitious film about an Indian girl quest for spiritualism through her Odissi dancing was on the verge of being shelved when Mrs Shetty agreed to step in as producer.

Says a source, “The Desire …had gone grossly over-budget and had also become too long. When Mrs Shetty stepped in the length of the film was unmanageable at 2 hours 25 minutes.

Mrs Shetty cut the film down to size at 95 minutes and is sending it off to various international film festivals. She also had areas of dispute with the director R Sarath on several counts. ” Says Mrs Sunanda Shetty, “When I decided to step in as producer the film was in serious trouble. It was stuck for over a year. But I immediately saw the potential in it.

I was told there was just a few weeks’ shooting left when in fact we had to shoot for a good six months more. But it’s been worth it. It’s a beautiful story and has a great role for Shilpa. My daughter warned me not to turn producer now when I had desisted from doing so all these years.

But somehow more than the concerned mother it was the film buff in me that realized the potential of this film. I jumped into the ocean without knowing how to swim. ”

The proud and protective mother makes it very clear that she took on the onus of being the sole producer of this film because of her darling daughter’s sake. “What appealed to me in the film is the fact that a girl could lead her life on her own terms without adhering to the so-called dos and don’ts. I strongly believe a girl child should be allowed to follow her heart. ”

Jane Fonda pens sex guide for over-70 couples

Veteran actress Jane Fonda has penned a book for the couples of her generation on how to keep the warmth of passion ticking in a relationship even when the old age snatches the enthusiasm away.

The 73-year-old Hollywood sex symbol has devoted some 50 pages of her new autobiography ‘Prime Time’ to explaining how to have good sex over the age of 70.

She has also claimed that she could even tell simply by looking at people if they are having ‘good sex’.

“I wasn’t trying to be shocking, but I go into details, and it seems to have shocked people. I made a list of things to cover. I’m still sexually active. There are certain things that change as you age, and I wanted to talk about that,” the Daily Mail quoted her as telling Time magazine, explaining her decision to talk about sex for the over-70s, that is usually a taboo subject.

The two-time Oscar-winner, who is currently in a relationship with 69-year-old music producer Richard Perry, describes herself as a ‘late bloomer’ and insisted on talking openly about sex unlike others.

“I have never found a book that talks about everything from the psyche and spirit and wisdom to penile implants,” she said.

“So I decided that I’d write about as much of the research as I possibly could – everything I wanted to know as a woman who is 73 years old and still sexually active.

“I see people who aren’t traditionally beautiful, but if they’re having good sex, you can tell,” she added.

Legendary Bollywood actor Shammi Kapoor, dies at 79

Legendary Bollywood actor Shammi Kapoor, whose acting and dancing style heavily influenced modern-day Indian film stars, died on Sunday aged 79.

"Shammi Kapoor ji passed away this morning at 5:15 am," Bollywood veteran Amitabh Bachchan wrote on Twitter, using the Hindi honorific, saying Kapoor brought had "flamboyance and joie de vivre" to the screen.

Nikhil Gangavane, a family friend who headed the official Shammi Kapoor fan club, said the actor was admitted to the private Breach Candy Hospital in south Mumbai earlier this week.

"He was on a ventilator for three or four days. He was having some chest infection, which he had had for the last one or two years. He died of renal failure this morning," Gangavane told AFP.

"He had been undergoing dialysis for the last six or seven years but developed complications."

Kapoor's dance performances in romantic hits like Tumsa Nahin Dekha" (You're One of a Kind, 1957), "Dil Deke Dekho" (Give Your Heart and See, 1959) and "Junglee" (Wild, 1961) earned him comparisons with US singer Elvis Presley.

Key to his success was his avid interest in music. Kapoor personally selected the songs he would dance and mime to, mindful that they needed to fit his exuberant on-screen style.

In doing so, he and singers like Mohammed Rafi provided some of the industry's most popular and memorable tunes.

In later years, as he withdrew from acting and direction, Kapoor became a champion of the Internet and was the founder-chairman of the Internet Users Community of India, maintaining a Facebook page and a Twitter account.

His own web site www.junglee.org.in profiled his famous family, the Kapoors, who have dominated Hindi-language cinema virtually since its inception.

He described himself on his Twitter account profile as a "Renaissance man, retired actor, computer buff". (AFP)

Miss USA, Arrested For Stealing A T-Shirt

Former Miss El Paso USA Lorena Tavera was arrested for allegedly stealing a shirt from a department store on Friday in the border town where she rose to prominence.

The winner of the 2008 El Paso pageant allegedly hid a $69 top in her plastic shopping bag and then exited the store, but employees followed her outside, The Associated Press reported.

Nude Statues Of Justin Bieber And Selena Gomez

If you were ever worried about Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez fading away, a distant memory of 2011, fear no more: the teen stars have been immortalized in “Justin and Selena as One,” a life-sized portrait from sculptor Daniel Edwards, the Dallas Observer reported on Tuesday.

“Justin and Selena as One,” which the artist said will eventually be cast in bronze, depicts the teens almost completely nude, save for a Canadian maple leaf and Texas “lone star” concealing their respective nether regions. The portrait will be presented at New Fine Arts, an adult mega store in Dallas, at a later date.

Edwards explained the piece in a statement provided to HuffPost:

“Justin and Selena as One” features the ‘Adam and Eve’ couple conjoined at the torso, each seeming to emerge from the other’s rib. Together, they have three legs, sharing Selena’s right leg as she appears to lead the younger Justin toward ‘Eden’. The pair is being led by an amorous Canada goose and Texas armadillo.

Edwards told HuffPost that his latest piece is partly a comment about how the couple has been portrayed in the media. “The press kind of rushes these stars through their adolescence and through adulthood, so there’s a bit of that behind the piece,” he said. Gomez is 19 years old and Bieber is 17.

The Connecticut-based sculptor, who said he has already received negative feedback because Bieber is not yet 18, is no stranger to controversy. His previous work includes an interactive piece called “Paris Hilton Autopsy,” a nude bust of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and a bronzing of what was purported to be Suri Cruise’s first poop.

And Edwards isn’t concerned if the teen stars break up.

“All Hollywood couples remain forever,” Edwards said, recalling pairs Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton as well as Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck. “Once it’s burned into your memories, it’s always there. I think it’s its own kind of icon. Despite what happens to them, that will always remain.”

The publicist added that because of the operation, Trevi's second since the accident, she had been forced to cancel her concerts scheduled for Aug 19 and 20 in Chihuahua and Ciudad Juarez, and she had had to postpone the filming of a music video.

“One of the rules is she gave up her cell phone. That helps them keep her under control,” the source added.

However, the singer denied the allegations.

The money Colton Harris-Moore, 20, from Washington state, earns will be used to help pay what he owes in restitution to the victims of his two-year-long crime wave.

During that time, Harris-Moore made his way across the United States in stolen boats, cars and planes, in scenes reminiscent of the Leonardo DiCaprio film ‘Catch Me If You Can’.

He crashed planes in rural areas and stole cars from parking lots at small airports. On occasions he was shoeless, which led to him being nicknamed the “Barefoot Bandit”. He was eventually captured after crash landing in the Bahamas.

“I did things that were not only a violation of law, but also of trust. I can’t undo what I did. I can only try to make things better,” the Telegraph quoted him as saying in a hand written statement released by his lawyers to the Herald.

“I am humbled to know I can now help the people I hurt, at least for the financial damage I caused them. I have absolutely zero interest in profiting from any of this and I won’t make a dime off it. It all goes to restitution.

“That’s what I insisted on from the beginning and the contract I signed guarantees it,” he added.

‘Taking Flight’ will presumably be the working title of the Hollywood film based on the escapades of Harris-Moore who has pleaded guilty of seven felony charges ranging from stealing an aircraft to possessing a firearm, due to be sentenced in October.

Chala Musaddi Office Office (Movie Review)

Indian television has had a very few serials it can honestly be proud of. Office Office was surely one of them. Pankaj Kapur as the hapless common man Musaddilal Tripathi managed to evoke the right sentiments in the audience, undoubtedly making him one of the most loved characters on TV.

Episode after episode, he went around fighting against the system and corrupt government servants to avail of his basic rights.

You empathised with him, wanted to fight his battles and felt vindicated when he emerged victorious after his arduous crusade. There is a nice nostalgia attached to this serial of yesteryears... then they go ahead and make it a movie and spoil it all for us!

While what made Office Office popular was its portrayal of reality, ironically that very essence is missing in the movie. Consistency is a huge issue here. In some parts, the movie seems real enough.

But several scenes are absurd and downright unbelievable. Some episodes are handled so casually that it comes across like play-acting by children. The serious issues are not given their due. Being humorous and being casual are two different things.

Musaddilal's (Pankaj Kapur) wife dies, thanks to a kidney racket. Even when Musaddi and his no-good son (Gaurav Kapoor) are off to visit holy places for the final rites, back home people from the pension office declare him dead and promptly stop his pension.

The story revolves around Musaddi's fight to prove that he's alive, and of course against corruption.

The movie meanders and is all very predictable.

In short, it looks like a brilliant episode of Office Office was taken and stretched beyond limits to make it into a film. The climax is boring and a tad too simplistic. Pankaj Kapoor is brilliant as expected. Even in the silliest circumstances, his angst and helplessness is palpable and touching.

Gaurav Kapoor as the son is very good. The rest of the cast -- the corrupt gang of Asawari Joshi, Sanjay Mishra, Deven Bhojani, Manoj Pahwa etc. -- perform well.

The intention is right, but not nearly as engaging enough as the cult TV series to hold you down for those 100 odd minutes.

Arnie could be charged over cigar

VIENNA: Was it lit or was it cold? The status of a cigar in Arnold Schwarzenegger’s mouth at an Austrian airport could decide whether or not he faces legal action.

Smoking at airports is banned in Austria and an anti-smoking lobby said Tuesday it plans to launch a suit against the former California governor for puffing on a stogie after arriving in June at Salzburg Airport.

But officials suggest the affair will go up in smoke.

Salzburg municipal legal expert Josef Goldberger told state broadcaster ORF that Arnie can ignore any requests from authorities in his homeland to respond since the charge is not covered by treaties.

Airport spokesman Alexander Klaus, meanwhile, says the cigar was out. ”Burning cigars smoke and there were no puffs for Schwarzenegger,” he says.

White House rejects claim about bin Laden raid film

Moviemakers producing a film about the US special forces raid that killed Osama bin Laden are getting help from the Pentagon, but the Obama administration dismissed concerns on Wednesday that classified information has been divulged.

The film, focusing on one of President Barack Obama's key successes in office, is due to be released in October 2012, less than a month before the election in which the Democrat is seeking a second term.

Republican Peter King, chairman of the House of Representatives Homeland Security Committee, called on Tuesday for an investigation into contacts between the administration and the filmmakers. King questioned whether special operations methods had been compromised.

"The claims are ridiculous," White House spokesman Jay Carney told a White House briefing.

"We do not discuss classified information. And I would hope that as we face the continued threat from terrorism, the House Committee on Homeland Security would have more important topics to discuss than a movie," Carney added.

US Marine Corps Colonel Dave Lapan, a Pentagon spokesman, said the Defense Department is cooperating with filmmaker Kathryn Bigelow and screenwriter Mark Boal as they work on a motion picture about the raid that killed bin Laden.

The two, who collaborated on the Oscar-winning Iraq war movie "The Hurt Locker," had been developing the bin Laden film even before the al Qaeda leader was killed in May in a raid on a compound in Abbottabad.

In a statement, the pair said their movie covered a period of three different US administrations that searched for bin Laden, including those of Presidents Clinton and Bush.

"This was an American triumph, both heroic and non-partisan, and there is no basis to suggest that our film will represent this enormous victory otherwise," Bigelow and Boal said in their joint statement.

The Pentagon has a two-person entertainment media office that assists makers of films, television shows, computer games and other entertainment media targeting mass audiences.

"Mostly when we're contacted by filmmakers they're looking for access to our equipment, our personnel and our installations. Technical advice is kind of a byproduct of that relationship," said Phil Strub, who heads the office.

Reacting to a New York Times column saying the film was timed to give Obama a "home-stretch boost" in his re-election bid, King called for an investigation into the assertion that Bigelow had been given "top-level access to the most classified mission in history."

On the Bigelow film, Lapan said the Defense Department is "providing assistance with script research, which is something we commonly do for established filmmakers." Lapan said the Pentagon attempts to help filmmakers and authors but "we do not discuss classified information."

Carney said information provided to the filmmakers "has been focused on the president's role."

"There is no difference in the information that we've given to anybody who's working on this topic from what we gave to those of you in this room who worked on it in the days and weeks after the raid itself," Carney told reporters. (Reuters)

Katrina Kaif, Anushka Sharma 'clash over make-up artist'

Katrina Kaif has reportedly demanded that her regular make-up artist cancel an assignment with her alleged rival Anushka Sharma.

Make-up artist Subhash initially refused to perform the patchwork for the Tees Maar Khan actress as he had already made arrangements to travel to London to work with Sharma.

A source told Mumbai Mirror: "Katrina on Sunday refused to let Subhash go for the assignment since she had some urgent patchwork shoot to finish on Monday.

Ritu Kumar to design Kareena wedding dress.

Kareena Kapoor has reportedly chosen Ritu Kumar to design her wedding dress.

The Ra.One star picked the designer to create an outfit for her planned wedding to Saif Ali Khan in early 2012, claims Mumbai Mirror.

"Ritu Kumar has a longstanding relationship with Saif's mum Sharmila Tagore, who has also walked the ramp for her on several occasions," a source told the newspaper.

"Kumar even photographed Sharmila and Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi for her coffee table on the costumes and textiles of Indian royalty in the '90s, where Sharmila wore the traditional Bhopali farshi paijama and dupatta that she wore on her wedding day in December 1969."

The choice of Delhi-based Kumar has suprised many commentators, who had expected Kapoor to choose her friend, Bollywood costume designer Manish Malhotra.

Kapoor and Khan will reportedly announce an official date for their wedding in the next few weeks.

The couple will be seen together in upcoming spy action thriller Agent Vinod.

Yellow Boots releasing worldwide: Anurag Kashyap

Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap says that none of his films have ever reached international audiences beyond festivals as Indian distributors are sceptical of giving them a global release. His forthcoming "That Girl in Yellow Boots" is his first world wide release.

"That Girl in Yellow Boots", written and acted by Kashyap's wife actress Kalki Koechlin, is releasing Sep 2 even in non-NRI theaters in America.

"None of my films had been released internationally so far. Be it 'Black Friday', 'Dev D' all the films went to festivals, garnered acclaim and I ended up selling it to the satellite," Kashyap told IANS in an interview.

"'That Girl in Yellow Boots' is releasing in all Scandinavian countries, Australia, New Zealand, Korea and in America there would be 30 art house releases. It's apparently a small release but a big one for my film," Kashyap said.

Kashyap criticised Indian distributors, terming them inefficient and dishonest as they "repeatedly failed or deliberately didn't make international releases" of any of his films even after owning overseas rights, "just assuming there is no market for such non-conventional films".

"What has been my frustration ever since I started making film is that my films go to festivals across the world then when I approach distributors they ask for world rights as well. They take the world rights but don't release them outside saying there is no market for the film abroad. Internationally none of the distributors know how to distribute it or they hide the film from the non-NRI market.

"If a film has big stars like the Khans then a roadside tea stall owner would be able to distribute it across the globe," he said.

He said: "When there is a film which is highly acclaimed in the festival circuit why would that not be loved by other people. For example 'Udaan' garnered audience choice award of another country, why can't they distribute the film in theatres for the same audience of that country."

He is thankful to producer-distributor Viacom 18 for supporting his endeavour to explore the international market for his film.

"I thought that I would distribute the film worldwide personally. It took one year to find international distributors. Then we got Viacom 18, which is the first producer-distributor that said we would work in collaboration because it's the first time for both of us to explore the global market. Viacom 18 is collaborating with so many distributors world wide," said Kashyap.

"That Girl in Yellow Boots", is a look at the social criticism Kalki Koechlin suffered for being an actor with French connections coupled with other real time incidences that appeared in the newspapers, revealed Kashyap.

"When my relationship started with Kalki there used to be all kinds of stories. It was out of reluctance of accepting a white person. She had become a topic of coffee table conversation. A white girl looks good that's why she has got a chance in Hindi film, that's what was concluded.

"What people forget that, is that girl left England to live here as she was born in India and secondly she grew up on the diet of sambar and rice, and she still continues it as she can't take spicy food and her first language is Tamil. But all these things got discounted. We thought let's make a film on it mixing with stories of its kind that appeared in newspapers," said the 38-year-old filmmaker.

"The mixture of all those stories evolved into the story of 'Yellow Boots'. It's a thriller based on a girl's search for her father but set in an underworld that's mushrooming around us that we refuse to see or know," he added.

The film also features Naseeruddin Shah in a pivotal role.
